A Photographer’s Love Affair with the Norland Historic Estate
Since I started my business, I have wanted to photograph a wedding at the Norland Historic Estate. Seriously, it’s one of those venues that’s so naturally beautiful that it practically photographs itself. The mansion, the gardens, the timeless charm—it’s the perfect backdrop for stunning wedding photos. And the best part? Each couple brings their unique style, which means Norland somehow manages to be both iconic and one-of-a-kind at the same time.
So, when Lacie Paige Photo asked me to second shoot a wedding here, I couldn’t have said yes fast enough! I was SO excited to finally get the chance to capture a wedding at this stunning venue, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint.
Kacie & Jon’s “Til Death Do Us Part” & Disco Ball Dream Wedding
Kacie and Jon’s wedding was the perfect blend of edgy and elegant. They went with a “Til Death Do Us Part” meets disco ball theme, and the result? Pure magic. The black-and-white decor was incredibly classy, giving the day a timeless feel, while the disco elements added that fun, celebratory vibe.
One of the most stunning details was the disco balls outside, which refracted the light in the most mesmerizing way, casting reflections over their handmade signage and even shimmering off Kacie’s dress. They also had two neon signs that tied everything together beautifully—one custom sign reading “The McIntoshes” behind their head table and another “Til Death Do Us Part” sign on a floral wall, which made the perfect backdrop for guest photos.

One of my favourite things about Norland Historic Estate is that you don’t have to go anywhere else for incredible wedding photos (unless you want to!). With 7,500 square feet of historic charm and a lot of outdoor beauty, there are endless options for jaw-dropping shots.

- The Gardens and Gazebo – If you want that soft, enchanted garden vibe, this is the spot. Plus, the gazebo makes for the dreamiest ceremony location.
