I love photographing weddings, but even more so when it’s someone I know!
Emma went to school with my brother from Kindergarten through to Grade nine. Funny enough, she was madly in love with him and CONVINCED it would be him joining her at the altar one day. But instead, it was the hilarious Brandon who stole her heart and got the honour of marrying her!
The two worked together years ago, but that’s not when their love story started. It was actually when Brandon adopted kittens that Emma was fostering that their romance blossomed! Now they will live happily ever after with their FIVE cats!
We spent the day celebrating their marriage at the Wild Wild West Event Centre; as someone who grew up loving horses, it was the perfect venue for Emma’s big day.
My list of most memorable moments from the day are:
- Having a horse and carriage take the couple offsite for their wedding party and couples photos.
- The venue owner and his wolfdog accidentally photobombed my ceremony shots as they took pictures from the venue’s roof.
- Having two of the groomsmen shove an entire Crave cupcake in their mouths to see who could finish first!
- The groomsmen surprised the bride and groom with two dinosaurs and a shark costume after the first dances were over.
All in all, it was a fantastic day; not too hot and no rain! We had a ton of fun, and I cannot wait to edit and deliver their full gallery!
